I won’t lie, the past few weeks have been incredibly difficult. Although my partial bowel obstruction seems to have resolved itself, the intense pain has not. I see a gastroenterologist on Monday who will hopefully figure out what is going on. In the meantime, I have another week of working with a foggy, drugged up brain. Thankfully, morphine does take the pain away so at least I can still enjoy my family and take care of my responsibilities, even if I’m not at my best.
One thing that over two years of being hit with one health problem after another is that we’ve learned how to keep our sense of humor during the roughest times. This Wordless Wednesday post (okay, it’s not exactly wordless) is dedicated to random moments of silliness that have lightened some recent dark days.

I hope you are feeling better soon. When I had my c-section, my husband said that I got really concerned in the middle of it and I asked him to double check with the doctors because I was positive that they accidentally cut off my feet because I couldn’t feel them.
I told him that “I wasn’t footloose, I was footless”
To this day he said that for someone so drugged up, that was a pretty smart remark!
